RIVER RENDEZVOUS MEMORIES

2022: Gaye Fifer has a unique four-on-four dance sequence going for us.

From left our mighty musicians are: Bill Tomczak, Dave Langford, Stuart Kenney, and Peter Barnes. Gaye is from Pittsburgh, and the Lizards are primarily from the New England area. The tune is Coleman's March - has some convoluted history behind it.

2019: 22nd River Rendezvous features Gaye Fifer prompting a contra to Turnip the Beet music.

On fiddle - Kelsey Wells, on guitar - Jeremy Lekich. In the Lake Park Pavilion, Coshocton, Ohio. (This dance sequence is "Surfing the Set" by Bob Isaacs and Richard Allen Fischer.)

2013: Kevin Carr treats us to a Galician bagpipe tune whilst he sings the melody.

He is joined by band mates - Paul Kotapish on mandolin, Ray Bierl on violin, and Daniel Steinberg on piano. We are in The Pavilion at Lake Park, Coshocton, Ohio.

2011: This dance weekend is sponsored by the Cleveland area contra dancers. Three Ohio rivers meet in Coshocton - hence - the moniker. More specifically - the dance is held at the beautiful Lake Park Pavilion. Fourteenth Anniversary of these dance weekends.

2011: Saturday morning - and Nils is already tying the dancers in knots. Groups of three couples, and one couple somehow gets to travel. Hotpoint holds their level of superb musicianship. Coshocton, Ohio.
